My Journey to Becoming a Beauty Business Coach

As a former esthetician and corporate new business development sales professional, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to start, build, and grow a successful beauty business from scratch. When I decided to launch my own “solopreneur” lash and wax services business, I spent hours scouring the internet for answers, following all of the other “successful” salons and spas in my area just hoping I could observe them long enough to find their secret to success – only to find bits and pieces of information scattered across different platforms and it became overwhelming to try to find a clear path to getting my dream off the ground.

It was a slow and frustrating process, and in February of 2016 – I had $200 to my bank account with a lot of month left to live and a family of 3 to provide for.

It was decision time, give up on the dream and go back to a J-O-B🤭 or invest in myself to figure it the F out!

I decided I was capable of figuring this out – I just needed help cause doing it alone wasn’t working fast enough. I put $1500 on a credit card and invested in my first business coach – and I committed to learning everything I could from someone who was further along the entrepreneurship journey than I was. I got comfortable with being uncomfortable… and started transforming my marketing to drive sales. I implemented systems and processes and built a thriving, full-price-paying, and loyal clientele within six months. By the 8th month, I had a waitlist of new clients and was doing $8000+ month in sales working 14 days a MONTH, and less than one year after hiring my coach, I had become one of the highest-priced beauty service providers in my highly-saturated market of San Diego, California… working VERY part time (but making a full time income).

Since 2016 – I’ve been helping beauty business owners increase clients, sales, profits AND team so they can experience more money in their businesses and more freedom in their lives!

I had an AHA MOMENT when i, on a whim, posted a pic of me next to my Facial machine with the words, “I promise, you need a Hydrofacial”, then added a few benefits. I got 5 appointments from that story. Sometimes we just make social media feel too much. Like this huge, unfamiliar dinosaur 🦕. I’m sooo trying to have more fun. I still dislike greatly pics of myself, but just do it and then be consistent. THEN … keep being consistent!😊 Then be consistent some more!
