Ever panic when you have a slow day on the books? Or a slow week? Or you’re just starting out and you’re like “shoo! My whole month is slow!” I know the feeling of being overwhelmed when building a clientele! Don’t worry, I’ve got you friend!
Inside of The Lashpreneur Society, my online coaching program for beauty business owners, I teach you EXACTLY how to build a clientele – but today I’m sharing what my current students are doing that is working really well for them!
Here are the Top 5 Ways to Build a Clientele that are working for our Lashpreneur Society Students:
1). Having a Website – the website is where the actual BOOKING happens. It’s where your clients find out all of the information about your business aside from what’s in your head and it’s where all of your other marketing should be pointing to. Without a website in the 21st century – can you really even call yourself a business?
2). Word of Mouth – easiest and typically the cheapest way to market. What’s really working is being INTENTIONAL about asking clients to refer friends and family. Giving them an incentive is always a nice addition (although not necessary), so you could offer $10 or 20% off a service if they refer a friend.
3). Google Ads – these are killing it for our students! Not to be confused with social media ads, especially boosted posts (don’t waste your money on boosting) – Google ads works like this: if somebody is searching for a lash artist near me, you can show up with an ad by targeting the keywords that they are most likely to use. While Google Ads may be more costly than say running Facebook ads or boosting a post – you get better quality traffic, you get better quality leads that are more likely to convert.
4). Referrals from Strategic Partners – these would be other businesses that are in front of your ideal client who you can build a relationship with and cross refer or collaborate with to refer clients to. Bartenders, servers, real estate agents, gym owners or personal trainers, other beauty service providers, nurses, anyone who works in the medical field, local influencers, news anchors, influential women in your church, etc.
5). Instagram – inviting viewers of your Reels and your stories to DM you with questions they have about XYZ service. Most people’s Instagram strategy is, “I just need to post” but there’s no real strategy behind it to get the client to get in a conversation with you. Especially after the pandemic, people want so much more connection. They want to feel heard. They want to feel understood. They want to make sure that you know what problems they have that you might be able to solve them.
