There are about 463,209,301 reasons why social media marketing should be at least a part (if not the main) source of your online marketing efforts to attract new clients into your eyelash extension business. I hear quite often from those who haven’t drank the Zuckerberg Kool-Aid quite yet that “I’m just not that into social media, so I don’t have a Facebook” or “I don’t have an Instagram”. Well, let me be the first to inform you, YOU may not be that into social media, but your CLIENTS are. So jump on the #bandwagon and stop leaving money on the table because I can promise you, you are missing out on client’s who are itching to find the services you offer.
Here are 3 reasons why you should be using social media to market your lash business:
Reason #1: Quicker than the Old Fashioned Way of Marketing
Yes, you can build a business without social media, but really, why would you want to? The time you have to spend pounding the pavement and going to networking meetings and brunches could be spent relaxing, or growing your business or doing the work that actually makes you money instead of playing the guessing game of “where are my clients hiding?”. So what are you waiting for?
You may object saying “I don’t have time to post on social media”. Well excellent! That means your books are full and client’s are flooding through your doors to get your lash skills smattered all over their face… oh, not the case? Maybe because you’ve made time to read this blog, I’m guessing you’ve got an extra 5, 10 even 30 minutes to spare a week to come up with social media posts. Would you take an extra few minutes a week if it meant consistent new clients inquiring about your services???
Reason #2: E’erbody’s ‘booking or ‘gramming It These Days
From Beliebers (those are Justin Bieber fan-girls) to my 84 year old Grandma, they all have social media accounts and they are on it ALL. THE. TIME.
Some Facebook stats for your viewing pleasure:

Does your ideal client fall within any of these categories???

Again, I can’t stress it enough. No matter how social media savvy or clueless you are, do your lash business (and your future) a favor and ensure that you at least have a presence on Facebook and Instagram because that’s where your potential clients are hanging out and they are actively looking for you.
Reason #3: You Can Be “Lazy” and Still Market the “Ish” Out of Your Lash Business
You don’t have to get all dolled up, look like you have your life together, or carry a stash of business cards with you to market your eyelash extensions business on social media. In fact, you don’t have to be seen at all! The beauty of social media marketing is that you can market your lash business from the comfort of your own bed, wearing that Def Leppard shirt from 2001 with the holes and pit stains if you want, and nobody will know!
All it takes is finding or creating an image, graphic or video that would appeal to your ideal client and post it with one of the reasons why that post should matter to them. It doesn’t have to be rocket science or an exercise in marketing psychology, it just has to make sense for the services you offer and why someone would want those services.
